A/PROF JENNIFER DEGER
Jennifer works at the intersection of art and anthropology. She writes on photography, aesthetics, film, contemporary Aboriginal societies, digital culture, art and ethnographic film, and experimental museology. Jennifer is also co-director of Feral Atlas, a digital and environmental humanities collaboration with Anna Tsing and Alder Keleman at AURA (Aarhus University Research on the Anthropocene).
A/PROF ROBYN GLADE-WRIGHT
Robyn's reseach interests include aesthetics and the capacity of art to generate reflection regarding environmental challenges in the tropics. Beauty and the eco-sublime are investigated in her creative works as strategies to articulate her concerns for the preservation of the tropical environment and to create a haunting message.
DR HELEN ROMOUTSAKI (POET/RESEARCHER)
Helen is a poet, performance poet, writer, storyteller and educator living in Australia’s far north. Over the past sixteen years in Tropical North Queensland, she has performed at community events, folk festivals, writers’ festivals and in theatres. She is as much in her element at poets’ breakfasts and slams as she is in staged and directed dramatic works.
Dr.Maxine Newlands (CURATOR/INVESTIGATOR)
Maxine is currently working with colleagues at CSIRO Townsville and the College of Business, Governance and Law and other external partners on research around the Great Barrier Reef, governance and environmental communication.
